Rondout will be back in school tomorrow January 17th. The temperatures are still expected to be cold but less extreme than these past few days with a “warm-up” forecast beginning at the end of the wind chill advisory period at 9 a.m. tomorrow. Please ensure your child is wearing adequate outerwear such as coats, hats, gloves etc. as the cold temperatures dictate appropriate dress.

The 8th grade World of Work program provides our 8th graders with opportunities to explore careers through field trips into the business, entertainment, financial, and technology worlds of work. The school store is open next week 12/12 - 12/14. The shopping schedule is as follows. Tuesday grades K & 4th, Wednesday grades 2nd - 3rd, and upper school during lunch, and Thursday grades 5th and 1st. The maximum amount students can spend is $5.00.

Winter Wonderland Wednesday (December 13): Cocoa and Candy Cane Day; we’ll enjoy these treats today. Blizzard and Bling Day (December 15): Let’s all look as much like a blizzard as we can. Wear as much white and sparkle as possible. Holiday Headband or Hat Day (December 20): Wear a festive headband or hat.

We will be celebrating our Blue Ribbon Award during the week of December 11. Monday, December 11- Wear Blue! Join us in celebrating our National Blue Ribbon Award by wearing as much Blue as you can! Students will decorate a Blue Ribbon to display. Ribbons should include a picture or phrase about what makes Rondout Special.
Tuesday, December 12- Falcon Favorites, wear your favorite outfit, jersey, or other item of clothing to celebrate our favorite things about Rondout! Rondout Trivia! Students will participate in a trivia game about Rondout.
Wednesday, December 13- Rondout Spirit Wear. Wear your Rondout gear! Enjoy a cocoa and candy cane treat, courtesy of the Spirit Department!
Thursday, December 14- Roll out the Blue Carpet! Dress your best and walk the blue carpet. Classes will have an opportunity to walk the “Blue Carpet” and take a photo with our Blue Ribbon Award! Students will have a Blue treat at Lunch!
Friday, December 15- Blizzard and Bling Day- Let’s all look as much like a blizzard as possible. Wear as much white and sparkle as possible.


Rondout's Book Fair is scheduled for Thursday - Friday, November 30-December 1, 2023.


Report cards have been mailed home. Conference "save the dates" have been emailed and included in the report card mailing. If you did not receive a time please contact the office as soon as possible.
