March is officially designated by the National Association for Music Education as Music In Our Schools Month, the time of year we celebrate the importance of music education, and the diverse ways students are able to access and express themselves through music. The Spring Concert features all students in kindergarten through eighth grade and showcases the variety of ways
students learn and experience music. Student performances will feature singing, movement, playing instruments, rhythmic speech, body percussion and improvisation. You will also be entertained by several world premieres of student compositions! Students should plan to arrive at 6:15 pm, concert begins promptly at 6:30pm. Students should plan to "dress their best": dress shirts, dress pants, khakis, sweaters, jumpsuits, dresses, and dress shoes are strongly encouraged. Rondout Volleyball will start February 1st and run through February 27th. Practices will be Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30-4:15pm. Pick up will take place at the front office due how dark it is in the parking lot. We have 3 scrimmages scheduled so far. See below. We will provide a bus to the games and parents will be responsible for transportation home. Field trip and concussion forms will be sent home next week with those students who are interested in playing.
